Henryetta Business Co-op Holds Inaugural Meeting
The Henryetta Business Co-op (HBC) held its inaugural meeting on November 10, bringing together local business owners and community leaders to discuss economic development and promotion strategies for the city.
Keith Estes of the Henryetta Economic Development Authority (HEDA) served as the guest speaker, outlining how HEDA supports both existing and new businesses through tax credits, loan programs, and advisory services. Estes emphasized the importance of collaboration in helping businesses grow and succeed in Henryetta.
A key topic of discussion focused on effective ways to promote the city. Rather than investing in traditional television commercials, members agreed that sponsored advertising and targeted promotion within a 50–60 mile radius would be more effective in driving traffic to Henryetta for shopping, dining, and local events.
The group also discussed the distinction between the Henryetta promotional video and the role of the Henryetta Business Co-op. The HBC website is designed to serve as a central landing page for the city’s promotional video, acting as a first point of contact for visitors, businesses, and potential investors.
The meeting concluded with plans to hold the next Henryetta Business Co-op meeting in early February. The date and location will be announced at a later time.
